Membership in the New Guinea Singing Dog Conservation Society

Membership in the not-for-profit New Guinea Singing Dog Conservation Society (NGSDCS) helps provide support to education and conservation projects, such as the search to find wild NGSD in their native habitat. Members receive a subscription to the e-mailed newsletter about NGSD, FORUM. To join, please fill out and send the membership form. (A sample issue of the newsletter is available for your perusal.)

Membership dues and any contributions to specific projects are tax-deductible, as the NGSDCS is a Section 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. In addition to cash contributions, the organization welcomes in-kind donations as the need arises. For example, for one project in New Guinea, we needed recording equipment and camping gear. To contribute monetary aid, you can donate online through our registry at Network For Good, or you can send checks to our Treasurer at the following address:

Please read our Mission Statement and list of scientific advisors so that you know you are contributing to an organization that does not have commercial gain as any part of its purpose.

The NGSD Yahoo Group Internet discussion board, a separate group with overlapping membership, is dedicated to promoting conservation of the NGSD and responsible ownership, as well as providing general information about NGSD. Frequent discussion topics include preserving the NGSD in their area of origin, maintaining genetic diversity, scientific research, responsible ownership, NGSD education, training, behavior, care, rescue, and (last but not least) the sharing of personal stories about them.
